[24] S. 423(1) of the Criminal Code describes the offence of intimidation. The offence is committed where a person intending to compel someone to abstain from doing something he has a right to do, or to do something that he has the right to abstain from doing, “wrongfully and without legal authority” uses violence or threats of violence against the person or his spouse or children
